What do you enjoy most about your position?
I enjoy working with my clients, helping them with their planning, and advising them on how to deal with life issues and problems they may face. I also enjoy the people I work with. Our firm is full of intelligent and exciting people; they keep me intellectually challenged and on the ball.
What is one thing you hope to accomplish before the end of the year?
We have several younger attorneys in our Estates Department whom I want to help mentor into higher-level roles in client relationships and firm management.
What do you think the biggest change in your practice area will be over the next 3-5 years?
Due to the higher estate tax exemptions and fewer taxable estates, the emphasis on planning will have to shift from estate tax savings to other areas that can benefit clients and their families.
What do you enjoy most about practicing law in the Rochester area?
Rochester offers practicing estate attorneys a wealth of clients who are well-educated and successful. My clients are a joy to me, and many have become friends; they appreciate the level of planning we can accomplish for them.
